MMF es el formato nativo de Music Motion. A diferencia de un MIDI —que guarda números de tecla temperados— un MMF guarda la identidad pitagórica exacta de cada nota: sabe si es un Do♯ o un Re♭, y suena distinto. Se abre en el Score y en el Player, y suena en el Cosmic Keyboard. MMF is Music Motion's native format. Unlike a MIDI file —which stores tempered key numbers— an MMF stores each note's exact Pythagorean identity: it knows whether a note is a C♯ or a D♭, and it sounds different. It opens in the Score and the Player, and it sounds in the Cosmic Keyboard.
No las notas: la interpretación enteraNot the notes: the whole performance
Un MMF no es una foto de la partitura ni una lista de teclas. Es la obra tal como la suite la entiende, por canales, con todo lo que hace que suene como música: An MMF is neither a picture of the score nor a list of keys. It is the piece as the suite understands it, by channels, with everything that makes it sound like music:
- La altura exacta de cada nota — su razón pitagórica, no un número redondeado. Do♯ y Re♭ son dos alturas distintas y quedan escritas como tales.Each note's exact pitch — its Pythagorean ratio, not a rounded number. C♯ and D♭ are two different pitches and are written as such.
- La dinámica como dato relativo — las marcas (ppp…fff), los reguladores y los acentos, no como volúmenes fijos.Dynamics as relative data — the marks (ppp…fff), hairpins and accents, not as fixed volumes.
- La articulación y el gesto — ligados con su dirección, arcadas, tremolo, staccato, agógica y el timbre de cada instrumento.Articulation and gesture — slurs with their direction, bowings, tremolo, staccato, agogics and each instrument's timbre.

La ejecuciónThe performance
Números de tecla (0–127), velocidad y tiempo. Es temperado por diseño: un Do♯ y un Re♭ son la misma tecla. No sabe de afinación ni de grafía.Key numbers (0–127), velocity and timing. Tempered by design: a C♯ and a D♭ are the same key. It knows nothing of tuning or spelling.
La partituraThe notation
Cómo se ve la hoja: notas, plicas, alteraciones, compases. Distingue Do♯ de Re♭ en la escritura, pero al sonar se reproduce temperado.How the page looks: notes, stems, accidentals, bars. It tells C♯ from D♭ in writing, but plays back tempered.

El Player acuña un MIDI o un MusicXML en MMF: entra temperado y nace pitagórico, organizado por la armadura del archivo. The Player mints a MIDI or a MusicXML into MMF: it comes in tempered and is born Pythagorean, organized by the file's key signature.

Mismas notas y mismo tempo en los tres: lo único que cambia es la afinación.All fifteen, in three voices, in three tunings of the same performance: the Cosmic harpsichord —Pythagorean, the suite's tuning—, the Well-tempered —Werckmeister III— and a .mid in equal temperament, which the Keyboard opens and plays on its cyan keys.
